A friend & a mentor once told me :
" No matter how much you hate to work, work actually gives you, your self worth.
Through work, you build your self esteem. By working, you earn achievements.
If work does not exist, your life would be meaningless "

Unfortunately, what he said is true.

As i sit around at work, waiting for the next job opportunity, and it seems ages before anyone calls... i feel worthless.

As i sit around with no more passion in my current job, because of problematic clients, campaigns that do not seem to be going anywhere, and people getting more and more small minded, work comes to a standstill. I feel no pride in what i do, i feel no joy at being at work, i feel worthless.
With this, my mind wanders, i feel lifeless. I feel trap.
(Who ever said the idle mind is the devil's playground is right)

Patience is not my strength. But i know that the BIG man up there has BIG plans for me.
I just need to be still, and wait.

I hope i have work soon. Then, will i find my self worth. Then i won't feel so lifeless & trapped.

i wonder if we live by these tips, would life be easier?

Tips for us ladies in year 2007

1. Aspire to be Barbie - the bitch has everything
( does that mean plastic boobies too??)

2. If the shoe fits - buy one in every colour
( actually i think it applies for pants too.. especially people who have junks in trunk!)

3. Take life with... A pinch of salt... a wedge of lime, and a shot of tequila.
( can i have a single malt instead.. and not get the "i got hit by a truck" feeling after.. )

4. In need of a support group? - Cocktail hour with the girls!
(yeah baby yeah!)

5. Go on the 30 day diet. (I'm on it and so far I've lost 15 days).

6. Let your greatest fear be that there is no PMS and this is just my personality.
( if every lady out there's like that... i hope i never work under a lady boss )

7. I know I'm in my own little world, but it's ok. They know me here.

8. Lead me not into temptation, I can find it myself.

9. Don't get your knickers in a knot, it solves nothing; and makes you walk funny.

10. When life gives you lemons in 2007 - turn it into lemonade... then mix it with vodka.
( why do i have a feeling that i'm going to be soooooo HUNGOVER ?? )

11. Remember every good looking, sweet, single male is someone else's ex- boyfriend!
( that or he's gay... )

Quick fix for constipation :
- 1/4 hot coffee, 3/4 cold milk ( guarantee to lausai!)
- drink 1.5Litre of water the moment you get out of bed
- exercise in the morning!
- drink lotsa lotsa beer ( i like.. ! but be prepare to bloat 10x for days)

The Opportunity Clock
